Ubisoft decided to use an original alternative when it came to deciding the theme of the next Far Cry game. They have let the fans decide the future of the saga via a poll they gave to some players of Far Cry 4. The fifth installment of this successful saga has not yet revealed any of its details, though we can guess that it will follow in the path of Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4 , thanks to the poll we can figure what Ubisoft has in mind.
This is not the first time that Ubisoft does this; they already did with Assassin Creed, whose poll offered the possibility of choosing the Victorian age of have a Templar as protagonist. As you may know, this happened in Assassin's Creed Rogue. This way, you can be sure that Ubisoft directors will take into account the desires of the players, because this is not the first time they do it.
They have let the fans decide the future of the saga by a poll
The options they have given are very varied, from some realistic environments such as Peru, Alaska to other, less realistic ones such as a sci-fi future on another planet, during a zombie outbreak, or even vampires. However, there are other options that are a bit more historic; they offer the Vietnam war during the 60's, a Spaghetti Western, and even dinosaurs in the present day.
For the moment, the most popular option is this last one, The Jurassic Park island with dinosaurs everywhere, but any of the other options would be quite interesting. Here you have the image of the poll they released.
As you can see, you also have the option of choosing the Mad Max style, or the sequel to Blood Dragon, but this depends on the players' decision. Anyway, whatever the decision is, it is quite clear that the next game of the saga will be at the very least quite original.
